Can you guess the number of Railway Stations in Pakistan (including abandoned ones)? If you cannot give us an exact number, choose a range. Actually, lets make it a little poll too see what our collective best guess is.

Do please think through your answer. The easy way may be to pour over google searches. But it just may be more fun to go through a logical process of reasoning what the right answer might be.

Of course, we will share the correct answer – and our reason for asking this question – soon.

    70. That is the number listed in Google.

  2. Naan Haleem says:

    1170

Nice . This is like on “Who Wants to be a Millionairre” and the Ask the Audience option. Except. These are Pakistanis so I think the audience will cheat :-)

I tried not to, so my wild guess is 501-1000 because it is kind of in the middle and since this is ATP I expect a surprise an number to be much bigger than I had imagined.

    Hmmmm

I really do not know. But I chose 50-200, because I have traveled on the Pindi-Lahore train and I remember passing some 20-25 stations on it. So if we say that is the populated part of the country and there are around 5-6 legs like that in all Pakistan then I expect there are a total of 150 or a little more.

No idea if I am right. But was fun thinking about it.

Owais, I hope our readers will also guess that the purpose of this quiz is not just to guess the number of railway stations, it is to think about all that is interesting about our country that we seem to have lost interest in!
