Time for another ATP Quiz. This one a little different from previous ones. The question this time is not ‘where is this?’ but ‘what is this?’
What some hints? Read on…
- This ‘thing’ is not unique to Pakistan, but you can find many of this in Pakistan.
- You will find these all over Pakistan, but not everywhere in Pakistan.
- You are more likely to find more of these in some parts of Pakistan than in others.
- It does what it does very well, but it is not really the best way to do what it does.
- Being too close to this can be dangerous, but you will see many people trying to get as close to it as they possible can.
I think this one is a fairly easy one to guess. So, once you have figured out what this is, maybe you could comment on what you think of it.

Not that there was much suspense on this one anyhow - this was easily and quickly guessed. Yes, this is a closeup of a gas heater. I thought the composition was a very nice and for me brought back memories of cold nights, chalghozay and families around a warm fire. The picture is by cageitfallsinto and can be found at Flickr.

This is a fired heater.
gas oven may be, it might be kiln to produce bangles.
It is a fired heater any way as you can see the radiant section at bottom and convection section a bit upwards.
Its either a brick kiln, a bread oven or the oven used for bangles.
A fire hidden in Pakistani people’s brains against the injustice system, dictatorship, cruel police, corruption, traitor politicians and illiteracy.
A window+blind+grill+polka dotted curtain+colour ful lights but it is very imaginative or may be Gas heater or may be Abshaar.

This is an abshaar in front of the PC Lahore. When the water water flows over glowing bulbs, it produces this strange ripple effect.
