Asma Mirza

Crowd at Long March

The much fussed Long March to Islamabad ended without any concrete changes. Though it left behind many speculations, good, bad and a few worst.
I was flickring through pictures when this picture sent me in a fit of laughter. Irony and Spirit: All Together.

Apart from the brilliant idea to get a clear and uninterrupted view of the dais/stage, I wonder how they managed to climb the huge signboard – that too with flags.

Waqayi (truly):

“Shauq daa koi mol nayii’n.”

Interests are priceless.

Actually, “Fasten your seat belts” is also a good slogan for the justice movement of the lawyers given the ups and downs of this rough ride they have had. So appropriate in that way too.

I wonder how thick is the board!!! And, this picture would make a good slide for lecture on ‘Public Approach to Safety in Pakistan’.

It is being reported that judges are being restored via the finance bill that is due to pass soon……does someone have the details.
