Owais Mughal and Adil Najam

Today was the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal in Pakistan and Eid Milad-un-Nabi – marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) – was celebrated across the country. ATP offers Eid Milad-un-Nabi greetings to all its Muslim readers. As pictorial special, we share these photographs from Dawn and APP of the different ways in which Pakistan prepared for the celebrations today.

The selection of pictures is interesting. And obviously there to make a point. I must confess some of them are rather disturbing. The floats with fake models of the Kaaba, the guy dressed like an Arab leading the camel.

I wonder where that is coming from, or where this will take us?

    Interesting pictures :-)
Do you know where that first picture is from?

    Eid Milad Mubarak.

May Allah give our land peace and rid us of fanatics and extremists. Ameen.
