Dear Readers,
While All Things Pakistan has remained alive and online, it has been dormant since June 11, 2011 - when, on the blog's 5th anniversary, we decided that it was time to move on. We have been heartened by your messages and the fact that a steady traffic has continued to enjoy the archived content on ATP. While the blog itself will remain dormant, we are now beginning to add occasional (but infrequent) new material by the original authors of the blog, mostly to archive what they may now publish elsewhere. We will also be updating older posts to make sure that new readers who stumble onto this site still find it useful.
We hope you will continue to find ATP a useful venue to reflect upon and express your Pakistaniat. - Editors
@Aamir
Migration is a bitch…..
Culturally and Religiously, I am more enriched in my culture and religion over here…..
Just one clarification….this is not my memoirs…this is the culmination of so many stories i have heard and seen .
Every line and sentence of this passage is full of truth and heart touching… but i will comment on last line in which he asked question weather he has to come back or not…..
Migration is resulted to political, economic or social reasons. In most instances immigration lends well for better material life, but it comes at a BIG COST of cultural and religious disconnection of once origin. what do you think ???!!!
Ayaz saheb. nicely written. The ‘chubhan’ and ‘kaat’ of your words linger long after reading the article. Your words make people smile-and-think at the same time.
@Nihari – This is not the first all-Urdu post. It is probably the third such post. If you go into ‘archives’ tab on top of the page and look for posts by one ‘Muslim Rizvi’ – he did a very nice Urdu short story called ‘Karachi se aakhri khat’. I also once did a Urdu post on Eid poetry.
Is this the first Urdu post on ATP? You guys have really started with a bang.
