Adil Najam

Just how inhuman can the murderous zeal of fanatics be?

Here are the essential facts: Two suicide killers, hiding behind burqas, murdered more than 40 people, and injured another 60+, in two explosions minutes apart, at an IDP (internally displaced peoples) refugee camp at Katcha Pakka near Kohat, as they gathered to register for relief goods and as food was being distributed to them.

Yes, you read it right.

They murdered people who have already been made homeless. They killed people gathered to collect food and relief goods. They killed deliberately. They murdered on purpose. This was not an accident or bad planning. They had planned to kill. They had wanted to murder. They planned to kill women and children and innocent civilians.

That is exactly what they wanted to do. That is exactly what they did.

This is neither unique as an incident nor unique in its brutality and inhumanity.

Yesterday, it was a hospital – yes, hospital – that was attacked in Quetta where Muslims were mourning the death of a murdered Shia leader.

The butchers were butchering. Deliberately. Purposefully. Inhumanly.

The blood boils, eyes swell up and humanity cries whenever an innocent soul is killed. No matter why. No matter by whom. No matter how. But when the murder is so callous, so planned, so deliberate, so inhuman, the heart skips a beat, the mind is baffled, and something dies within each one of us. There is nothing more left to say.

What can one say that has not been said before. One seethes in ones anger. One sends out a silent prayer. One wipes off the tears. And one stares into the darkness. Trying desperately, trying senselessly, trying uselessly, to understand why anyone could do such a thing. How anyone could do such a thing.

One stares into the darkness. Knowing full well that no darkness known to man could be darker than the darkness that breeds this murder.

Amina Behan, I was actually talking about “resident commentors”. BTW I know the author more than you and purpose behind this website. So don’t worry.

And how one should define a “Taliban”. In liberals theory of stupidity, anyone who practices Islam is a Taliban. On this very forum, several “enlightened’ souls issued a fatwa that i am a “Taliban” because I expose their radical side.

Wo tu Muhammad(saw) Zinda nahi warna ye Islam se nafrat karna walay Muhammad se nafrat me Abu Lahab ko bhe maat dey daytay.

Amina, meray nazdeek har wo Musalman Islam ka Dushman hay jo Sunnat aur Quran ka Mazaq Urahye. Ham sab dekhta hain log kis tarha namaz ka mazaq urata hain, Darhi ka Mazaq Urata Hain, Hijab aur Parda ka Mazaq urata hain. Tu chahy wo suicide bombers ho ya Islam bashers, sab taliban hain. Is tarha mey bhe aur tum bhe Taliban hain.
Zara Apnay andar jhank kar dekhye. ap ko dosro ki gandagi ki taraf dekhna ka moqa bhe nahi miley ga. Apna aap ko aap sudhar lo,baqi khud sudhar jain gey

I really don’t understand what is called a “Whabi” Islam. All I know that on roads I see Shias ,Barelvis and Agha Khanis more busy in exhibiting their religious affiliation(read religious extremism) by exhibiting stickers of Ali(ra)’s name on cars, Green Turbans or “Labaik Ya Rasulullah” or showing the clean shaved Agha Khan’s pics on every shop.

So far I did not see any Wahabi or Deobandi to exhibit his religious affiliation like that. So who actually hijacked Pakistan. These so called “non-Mullah” brigades who can’t clean the filth and radicalism in their own sects or Wahabis? Where are Wahabis? I don’t see them anywhere or even in Karachi. The day these non-Mullah brigades start realizing how their “people of faith” exhibit religion on roads, they won’t get time to point out fingers on others.

Most probably when they will come out of their cradles they will learn that when a finger is pointed out on others, rest of the fingers actually point out to them.

Adnan Bhai, I do not see the word Shariah or Islam anywhere in the post?

Waisey bhi, yeh Taliban tou Islam aur musalmaano kay dushman hain. Don’t you think so?

    Wassalaam.

I really liked the Mantra of Adil, to bring up a post having some “religious” touch which attracts left-wing rejected loners of the society so that they can babble against Islam and Sharia. Later when some clarification is revaled by someone then same Adil cowardly burries his head in sand to discuss it.

I remember How Adil Najam created a hype about Swat flogging video and made sick attempt to attract the traffic by using emotional words. When recently it was discovered that the video was made by an NGO to sabotage peace process then same Adil did not have courage to mention it.

adil , your tactics are quite old now. Bring some new. Reporting like you were used to do in your students days is not spicy anymore

Blowing yourself up along with three dozen other innocent human beings is so insane, there isn’t even a word for it. Who’s brainwashing these suicide bombers? What exactly is their motive? Even a “bad” person has some specific goal and a plan to accomplish that. This just appears so random and thoughtless. There is no logic here.
