Owais Mughal

Walking down a street in Singapore, I came across this poster. If you are going to say ‘yeah – so what?’ or what is the maqsad (purpose) of this post then my answer would be imagine if you are walking on a street outside Pakistan and you see this poster – then won’t you get stuck for few moments? That is what happened to me. I got stuck on this poster for few seconds and took this photo. I was not expecting a Pakistani promotion on a street in Singapore. I also didn’t know that Pakistan is the 2nd largest exporter of clothing in the World. After looking at the poster, I saw a world of potential. Do you?

Pakistan is a country, which if free from men like Taliban could be one of the very successful nation. We are rich of resources but it is militancy that is holding us back.

While studying in Singapore in 90’s I had a hard time telling them where Pakistan was. :)

You mean there is (was) a literacy problem in Singapore?

I thought the educated of Pakistan keep blaming the “ghareeb” for everything in sight because there is a literacy problem in Pakistan!

Oh, I get it, it is the “cover” and the “convenient thing” to blame the “ghreeb” and not accept responsibility for their own misconduct by the good folks in “I-slammed-everyone-else-abad” and the 2 other cities.

    Ah well, the drama continues.

Good to see this. Pakistan gets a bad wrap by the and especially by Indians who seem obsessed with bad mouthing it all the time. They don’t realize that every time they do that most of us think, ‘well you guys are kind of the same and just means you have the same problems, or you will.’ I hope that Pakistan’s problems will be solved and it will reach its potential. Even more than that I worry that India will also not blow up the same way because they are so much bigger and their religious mess-ups are so much bigger as we have seen in the past.

    Peace for the whole world.
