Adil Najam

Following the targeting to Aaj TV station during the May 12 riots in Karachi, Gen. Pervez Musharraf gave an exclusive long interview to Talat Hussain and Aaj, much like he had given an interview to Geo after the attack on Geo. Here is a how it went.

Thanks to Saad for putting this on YouTube and sharing.

[Opinions] Boss of the Governor - A Convict
    بابل کی دعایں لیتی جا

Both of them with pending cases and one with convictions. Altaf got 27 years in the Major Kalimuddin case FIR 211/91 of 24/6/91, Landhi police station while there were several pending cases against Israt-ul-Ibad when he became the governor which allegedly got “erased” as explained in the Dawn’s column below. Those cases were never investigated before the decission of making him a governor came into action. All major parties opposed Ibad’s appointment but “jis ko piya chahay wohi suhagan”!

ARD questions appointment of Ibad -DAWN - National; December 27, 2002
ARD questions appointment of Ibad … would substantiate the allegation that the man nominated for the top office of Sindh was involved in criminal cases. …

Causa sine qua non - Cowasjee

Cowasjee explains how Ishrat Ibad was able to “erase” the cases against him

Jamali has resigned but this is not going to make a huge difference in Pakistani politics. He is a man of establishment.

Nasir, Can you please post url link to read this man’s appeal to the people.

This man will never change. He is still living in the days of Zia when he was given all the help to consolidate his position in Karachi.

He is still under the illusion that by continuing his violent policies he will be able to get away.

The media is now less subservient to him.

AAJ reported too tonight that Jamali has resigned from PML-Q seat in protest on recent Karachi Killings & CJP issue.

He said being a senior PML member & staunch Muslim League supporter he was not consulted on matters of highest national interest.

I wonder if he was ever consulted even when he was a PM. lol
