Adil Najam
This is absolutely hilarious; and in a thoughtful and thought-provoking way.
Even if you are one of those people who never click on these YouTube clips, make this one an exception. It is really worth a listen. Take my word for it.
Aao bacho sair karaiN tum ko Pakistan ki
Jiss ki khatir hum nay dee qurbani laakhouN jaan ki
I was immediately taken by both the visuals and the words. Using young school kids to convey the satirical message is powerful, and the words cut deep and hit hard. Here are some examples:
On Punjab:
Yahan police aur Qaf-Leauge nay har leader ko ghaira hai
Dour dour tak thakh baithi hai siyasi bradraan ki
Jiss ki khatir hum nay dee qurbani lakhouN jaan ki
On Sindh:
Daikho yeh hai Sindh, yahaN Arbab kay danka bajta hai
Laikin yahaN pay Adar (Order) aur kisi ka chalta hai…
Yeh Sarhad hai iss may MMA ka kaafi zor hai
Mousiqi pay pabandi hai, bass Hasba Bill ka shor hai…
Yahan pay klashinkov bhi milti hai qeemat meiN naan ki
Jiss ki khatir hum nay dee qurbani lakhouN jaan ki
As the kids say at the end, Pakistani Zindabad! :-)

Another early age patriotic song copied by indians was “toufan se laye hain ham , kashti nikal ke”.
I wish though that Pakistan had copied ” nanha munna rahi hoon, desh ka sipahi hoon” . I love that one. specialy the part
Naya hai zamana nai hai dagar, Bharat ko banaon ga machinoon ka nagar, bharat na ho ga kisi se kam, age hi age barhaoon ga qadam. quite progressive :)
to bhupinder singh:
The original song was first made in pakistan in early 50’s and only later copied in indian movie.
Not that it proves that pakis kick ass, just wanted to straighten the records.
Disciple…whats the Indian copy of Dil Dil Pakistan? I’m a big fan of that song, and would love nothing more than an Indian version :)
Here is another example of the activism of ordinary Pakistanis, yes you r right Adil , it is a democratic society trapped in an undemocratic state
HERE
It was the most hilarious act and apt depiction of the issues at hand.
