    Adil Bhai:

My condolences to you and your family on one of the greatest of losses one has to endure during their lifetime.
Although its true that mere words are inadequate to console at a time like this, it is also true that they do lessen
the pain to a certain extent and can be of some solace; I speak from experience, having undergone the same loss a little
more than a year ago myself. I offer you my prayers, that Allah(SWT) grant you the sabr necessary to bear this loss
with the hope that they will be of some comfort to you and your family.

As a friend of Pakistan and a fan of Adil Najam and this blog, I wanted to offer my condolences to the bereaved family. I was first told of this site just before I first came to Pakistan by one of the Profs’ former students who thought the world of Adil Najam. I now follow it every day and envy the respect that Prof. Najam commands and the depth of information and honest analysis that this blog provides. I have learnt that Pakistan is a place where family and community is close knit and people come to each other’s side in times of grief.

In this time of his grief, my fond wishes and prayers are with Prof. Najam and his family at this sad time.
